Your place is confirmed once payment is received. Cancel 48 hours or more before your session for a full refund or credit, or send a friend in your place (cancellations up to 48 hours before a service/event receive a credit, and after that including no-shows, are not refunded). Your Life in Song add-ons (product pages and order emails)
Each keepsake is made personally for you, so once production begins it can't be refunded, but if your song doesn't sound like you or your certificate has an error, Petra will remake or reprint it free of charge. Venue hire (The Piano Room booking page)

Three Quarter Time is a music and lifestyle education business for Australians Over 50, run by Petra Taylor-Smith from The Piano Room, 2/3 Turner Street, Beerwah, Queensland. By booking a session, buying a product or hiring The Piano Room, you agree to these terms. We've kept them short and in plain English, because that's how we like to do things.
Bookings and payment
Your place in a session, program or series is confirmed once payment is received. Multi-session series (for example a four-session program) are paid in full before the first session. Drop-in groups such as PAC Singers and Music as Medicine can be paid on the day, and your first visit to PAC Singers is free. All prices are in Australian dollars. If you need to cancel
Life happens, and we understand. For sessions and workshops (including Your Life in Song sessions), cancel more than 48 hours beforehand for a full refund Inside 48 hours we'll give you a credit rather than a refund, but within 24 hours (or if you don't attend), the session isn't refunded. You're always welcome to send a friend in your place.
For series and programs, a full refund is available up until the first session. Once a series has started, missed sessions aren't refunded, but your place can be passed to a friend or family member.
For piano tuition, please give 24 hours' notice to reschedule a lesson. Lessons cancelled with less notice, or missed, are charged as normal.
If we need to cancel
If Three Quarter Time cancels or reschedules a session (for example because of illness, low numbers or severe weather), you'll be offered the choice of a full refund or a credit. We'll let you know as early as we possibly can.
Your Life in Song products and add-ons
Every keepsake (souvenir song, Signature Song, certificate, playlist, USB, video and gift box) is created personally for you. Standard delivery is three weeks from when we receive everything we need from you, with a ten-day express option available. Because each item is made to order, add-ons can't be refunded once production has started. If your song doesn't sound like you, or your certificate has an error, let us know within 14 days of delivery and Petra will remake the song or reprint the certificate free of charge.
Signature Songs are composed with the help of AI music tools and then shaped by Petra, and your keepsake is for your personal and family use. When you supply photos, stories or song choices, you confirm you're happy for us to use them to make your keepsake (and that you have permission to share any photos of other people). Gift purchases are welcome, and gift vouchers are valid for 36 months.
The Piano Room venue hire
The Piano Room is a curated space, so all hire requests are subject to approval and we may decline a booking that doesn't suit the room. Hourly hire includes 60 minutes of preparation and cleaning time between bookings. Hirers must hold their own current public liability insurance and provide a certificate of currency naming Petra Taylor-Smith as an interested party before their first booking. Please leave the room as you found it, treat the grand piano with care (and ask before playing it), and let us know straight away about any damage, which the hirer is responsible for.
Cancel 7 days or more before your booking for a full refund or credit. Between 7 days and 48 hours, 50% is refundable, or the full amount can be credited to a new date. Inside 48 hours, the booking isn't refunded. Regular weekly or fortnightly hirers may arrange their own terms by agreement.
Your health and safety
Our sessions are general music, lifestyle and neuroscience education, delivered in a way that's non-threatening, fun and good for you. They aren't medical treatment, music therapy or a substitute for advice from your doctor or allied health team, and any research we share is general information rather than medical advice. Please talk to your healthcare professional about your individual needs.
You take part at your own pace and within your own limits. Let Petra know before your session about anything that might affect how you join in (such as mobility, hearing or a health condition), so the session can be adapted for you. Where a participant needs support, their carer or companion is welcome and remains responsible for their care during the session.
Photos and recordings
We sometimes take photos or record sessions to share the joy of what we do. We'll always ask first, and you're welcome to say no. Sessions for people living with Parkinson's or dementia are never photographed or recorded without the consent of both members of the pair.
Our community
Three Quarter Time is a warm, respectful and welcoming space. We ask everyone to treat others with kindness, and we may ask anyone who behaves in a way that upsets or endangers others to leave, without a refund.
Referrals
We welcome referrals from GPs, allied health professionals and Primary Health Networks. A referral doesn't make our sessions a clinical service, and we don't provide clinical reports. With your permission, we're happy to let your referrer know you've attended.
Privacy
We collect only the details we need to run your booking and keep in touch; we never sell your information, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Full details are in our Privacy Policy at threequartertime.com.au.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our services come with guarantees that can't be excluded, and if something we provide has a major failure, you're entitled to a remedy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the current version will always be on our website. The terms that apply to your booking are the ones in place when you booked.
