Songs written for a front bar and a wall of guitars sound like something else entirely when they are stripped back to a piano. People hear lyrics they have sung for forty years without ever really listening to them.

Chisel, the Angels, Australian Crawl, Hunters and Collectors, Under the Milky Way to close the first half and Flame Trees at the end, because it could not be anything else. Petra plays, everybody sings, nobody performs on their own.

This is the loudest of the four nights in the singing, even though the piano is the quietest instrument in the room. Bring your own drink and a plate to share. Doors from 6.15 p.m.

What to expect

Fourteen people, a baby grand and two hours. Petra leads every song from the piano, and everybody sings together, so there is no performing on your own and no audition of any kind.
